The house

Cauterets, Hautes-Pyrénées

From 1925 to today

Built in 1925, the house belonged to the directors of the former lead mines which were located throughout the region at that time. It has its own unique architecture which takes visitors back to its former industrial past.

Transformed into a guest house a few years ago, many tourists have come to discover it and enjoy its exceptional setting. After being run by English people for several years, Margaux, Engueran and their little one have reinvested in this place in December 2021 to make it a warm and relaxing place.

Enjoy a stay on the wooded slopes, lulled by the sound of the streams, just a few kilometres from all the tourist activities that Cauterets has to offer, both in summer and winter…

Margaux, Engueran & their 2 little ones

Margaux and Engueran are both sports enthusiasts and mountain lovers. Having travelled to the 4 corners of the world, this couple of bikers, cyclists and hikers finally settled in this magnificent region in September 2021 to welcome tourists who share their love of nature and sport.

Margaux and Engueran are also keen DIY enthusiasts, taking pleasure in maintaining and modernising their home while preserving its original charm. During your stay, you’ll have the chance to discover their work, using noble materials such as wood and stone, and perhaps even see them in action.
